Behavior Modification

Behavior modification is a therapeutic approach that involves modifying behavior through positive and negative reinforcement. Behavior modification techniques can be used to address a wide range of issues, including anxiety, phobias, tantrum, and aggression.  As a BCBA, I assess, design, implement, and evaluate behavior change programs. I conduct a functional behavior assessment to determine the function of the behavior. Finally, I determine the best skills and behaviors to teach the client to reduce aberrant behavior.

Early Intervention

Early intervention is a well-established practice that provides children at risk for developmental delays or disabilities with the necessary assistance and resources. As a BCBA, I identify developmental concerns and address them promptly to support the client's optimal development.  BCC provides services that include  Infant Education, Project ImPACT, and Applied Behavior Analysis. Depending on the funding source, Early Intervention services are provided in various settings, including the child's home, daycare or preschool, and community-based programs. My goal is to ensure that my clients have the best possible outcomes and opportunities for success.

Parent Training

Parent training is a form of therapy or education that helps parents learn skills and strategies to effectively manage their children's behavior, emotions, and development. Parent training aims to teach parents how to implement positive reinforcement techniques, establish clear boundaries and expectations, and constructively address problematic behaviors. Guided by the technologies and principles of Applied Behavior Analysis, support parents by modeling, coaching, and monitoring the implementation of the BIP.  The goal is to empower parents to become effective agents of change in their child's life during and after services.

IEP Support

IEP stands for Individualized Education Program, a legal document outlining the educational goals and accommodations for students with disabilities. IEP  support can take many forms, such as consultation with special education professionals, advocacy for the student, assistance with goal setting and progress monitoring, and training for teachers and school staff. My role is to ensure that my clients receive the appropriate education and support they need to succeed in school. In my experience, a well-written IEP can significantly impact the academic and social success of students with disabilities.
